Through networking, I was lucky enough to come in contact with a filmmaker from Australia. We both shared a love of film and wanted to challenge ourselves by collaborating on a film while on opposite sides of the globe.
So... we created 'Time-zoned'.
Sharing the many roles in production, we explored ways in which we can show the physical distance between us.
'Time-zoned' explores the difference in time, environment and atmosphere. I created a voice-over to explore the emotions and feelings of being in Manchester, juxtaposing that of the surburban neighbourhood that my colleague was situated in.
This method was also done visually, overlaying images and videos of Manchester to create contrasting atmospheres in a condensed amount of space and time.
